Lets hope so sometime soon, been waiting on this one a while. It will be great if the 245,s are on track also but the funds are going to take a bit of a hit pre xmas, then again it all might just fade into the credit card bill come January without to much notice from the other half!!!

That's not what I was told, I was at CCM's shop about a month ago, and they told me the trucks were on hold, Caterpillar came to them with a new project that took priority over the 769's, According to the guy I was talking to, the 769's are not even going into production until december, and the 245's won't be until spring.

though things could have changed, that's just what I was told.

Nope, I asked, but they said if they told me they'd have to kill me. I got the impression that it was not in the vintage diecast line though.

they have one cool shop though, I got to see the hand built brass prototype for the 1:87 scale big muskie model, that is an impressive sight! almost 5' long in 1:87 scale!

Hmmmm, Cat wants something put out ASAP...they just announced the 795F AC......hmmmmmm. I wonder if they would want to put out a highly detailed model of their new pride and joy?

Would be nice to see something like the 993K in the brass 1:24th scale precision series!

Geez, that will be a bummer if the 769 is held up again, it has missed 2 or 3 dates now. Good chance the general public will not be able to afford the brass special Cat request that appears to have jumped the cue. On the other side of it we may all have a little heavier wallet with the reschedule!!

As much as i am annoyed if this is true i am still glad we have a model maker of CCM,s caliber doing the old Cat stuff ay reasonable prices and look forward to what is coming up next.

I ordered the 245 at DHS's July 2007 show and here it is, a year and 1/2 later and no model. Well, I am not happy that I have to wait until spring 2009 now, but what can I do about it? just sit and wait again....This better be one impressive model that they put together....Wish they would do a 225 and 235 to go along with it....

Some great news on the CCM website with them confirming shipping of the 769 on 29th October with delivery to CCM around 15th November. Also some other news that the 245 excavator will be in production in November. It,s more than we have heard before and looks like the rumour of it being put back due to another project may have been just that.

I dunno Brian, how about a model of the rigid electric drive truck that started it all to go with the new one, a 779 and a 795F!!!!!! Now i am sure that would be a wallet lightener!!

Lets hope the 795 is a bit more successful than the 779 though

Now that would be neat Gavin, but I'm not sure I'd be able to afford it. I'd love to see em do the set, but I'm not sure Cat really wants to remember their first attempt at electric trucks. One can only hope!
