I know I went up on the tracks on some giant Maitowoc crane at ConExpo, they had about half a dozen guys from Manitowoc standing at the crane talking aobut it. It was the biggest one at their booth, I wonder if this was it, or if it was the 21000, I don't know I'm not a crane guy, but I wish I had a good camera, the thing was HUGE, even if it was a craneWhatever

Main boom = 344.5 ft

Jib = 679.5 ft

Total boom height? = 1,024 total height? Think

If you scroll through some of the other models on that link, you will see that the number beside the jib is the total height (main boom + jib)

I would like to see one with over 1000 feet of boom Teeth

cannot be this model 31000 as none exist in the flesh/steel yet and it has not been presented to public. must have been another machine. depending on the year you went to conexpo people could tell you which machine it was

If you are talking about the 1999 convention, yes that was the first 21000 that went to All Erection. That ConExpo was the official introduction of the crane. In 2005 the largest crawler crane on display at Manitowoc was the 16000 and in 2008 it was the 14000 that went to Lampson. This year's convention was also the 14000's first U.S public showing.

Do you remember the black carpet at the Manitowoc booth? That represented the footprint of the 31000.
