We did this 3900 move for Loftus Construction in Yonkers, NY on Friday night/Saturday morning. It was a little pre-game for the 4100.

The 4100...Anybody notice the problem ? 100 points to anyone who gets it besides Sal or Vinny

Yours truely.

Some random kids...

Nope. Just set it like that for the night to get weight off the tractor.

Mark, not sure what model Brutus is. She's a 1968. Yes, they are planetary axles.

Yeah, I cut it off in June. It had alot to do with loading a BG40 in Queens on a 100 degree day. It was unbearable.

GREAT GREAT PICTURES. Really enjoy this type of move. In the early sixties I worked as a laborer for a large sewer construction company that used mostly Northwest 95's for digging and lifting. We had an independent trucking company that did our moving. Removed next to nothing and down the road we would go. Police escort in front and a flagger in the rear. Autocar tractor and a Nelson rail trailer. The rear wheel assembly would be removed and the rails lowered and the machine walked onto the rails which were then jacked up with railroad jacks and the rear wheel assembly put back into place. To get enough ground clearance, blocking was put into to the sprockets to tighten the tracks. This trailer is still around. Roger Gearheart has it in his collectiion at his shop in Litiz, Pa. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF YOU FOR SHARING THE PICTURES AND THE VIDEO.
