super set of pics! I like that high tech tool, looks like a broom on a stick Teeth

I can imagine the deep throaty hum as that set up rolls past, thanks for sharing

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Thanks for posting these photos, Gary. I knew the buckets were going to be moved this weekend, but wasn't going to be up there to watch. It's good that someone did. Here's a link to the full gallery: http://rrpicturearchives.net/archivethumbs.aspx?id=58223

How's this for a wide load?

This photo shows a good size comparison between the bucket and locomotive.

A big chunk of that railway is brand spanking new...................ahh good ole Jasonville.

Didn't realize the buckets were being moved this way. Won't one still be used in the big walk?

There is still one bucket left to go with the machine when it makes the walk. There were 3 buckets total at Farmersburg. It looks like the one that's painted has been rebuilt the most recently. The white and blue are Peabody colors, and the red front is probably new from Esco.

Fantastic pictures! What a great find. I love the large dragline buckets. I would give anything for one of the 1:50 buckets that are available. But man,Think Think Eh? that price is damn high. Thanks for posting.

That's a big top-heavy load. I wonder how many tries it took to center it before they lashed it down?

I saw them this weekend sitting next to the old Hawthorn Bucyrus Erie 2570 dragline and they look sharp. I didn't drive back to them because that's private property and I didn't have my hardhat with me for whatever stupid reason. Plus, I didn't have an escort to go back that far, but I saw the two buckets. Amazing looking and these photos are all priceless photos!!! Great stuff!!
