testing Excavator U/C's and metal tracks (Pics) Options · View

Here's a few test fits I've done using the metal tracks from the Hitachi 450

450 tracks + 1 link on Cat 345MH U/C




450 tracks -3 links on 1:64 385B U/C


Both fit the existing idlers with no modification needed

dosent that make a wider base on that and you should make the tracks go n and out for transport that would be slick.Cool

Sure, on some of the real machines the U/C are varriable, but for model purposes since HRD the boom does not come apart I see no reason to give the U/C the ability to go into transport mode.

On the original model by HiMoBo, the U/C was varriable, but rather flimsy so I replaced it with the original U/C from the 345B MH.
