sounds like you had the automatic version, ours are both manuals and they get up and go! the center mounted cluster is always the first comment everyone makes when they ride in my car, never phased me from day one... We just bought our second one up in Montana, 4 years old with less than 20K miles on her. just wish they had not discontinued the old body style.

Yeah they were automatics, it was like the clutch was hesitant and never wanted to really go... I am sure the standard versions are better since you can control that all yourself.

My buddy has a 24 valve cummins, I've driven it before and it is a nice truck. The interior could be a little more ford like though. there are more people putting cummins into a powerjoke than there are putting ford interior into a dodge!!:d/ but then i would be very defencive since my pride and joy is a cummins..... 05 cummins, 20'' mamba m1's with 35''open countrys 5 inch lift, banks sixgun iq tuner and a few other bits and bobs. i have a lot more plans, but fuel consumption is killing me. i think it works out at about 8$ a gallon and im only getting 12mpg. not good

$8 a gallon, fuel is way more expensive in europe then I thought. I am only paying $3.21 a gallon and getting 16-21 MPG in my ford.

All these big trucks you guys drive all I have is an 07 Jeep JK Wrangler diesel. The Diesel is a great motor a 2.8 Vm.Tons of torque.Did nearly 10 000 k in one road trip I did this time last year.Trouble free motoring. My work car the boss gives me a VW Jetta ,a diesel one of course but it gets 1100 kilometers out of a 55 litre tank on the open road and about 850 around town. The VW is a really good car A little ugly but gos real good.I do about 60 000 k a year with about 45 000 of them city driving .Its due to be replaced and I think I will end up with a diesel 4x4 Toyota Hi lux.Something to do with company image.

Nice nine inch nails sticker eric! Here's my 08 chevy silverado. It's a real comfortable ride. I like it. And i'm gonna be paying on it for a few more years heh heh. And it gets me to my jobs. It runs on the oh so much cheaper E85 ethanol, when you can find that. But I usually get 18mpg on the regular unleaded. It does get washed, just in case you didn't believe it seeing the first picture!

My 2010 F-150 and my 1955 Oshkosh WT-2206. I was sad the company would not get me another 4 door diesel pickup but I do like my new half ton pickup. When I want to hear the roar of a diesel and blow black smoke all over the place I take the Oshkosh for a spin. As for mileage I get 13-15mpg out of the F-150 (got 16-18mpg out of my old power stroke) and 1-2mpg depending on how liberal I am with the accelerator in the Oshkosh.
