went back to see it today, it wasn't working, and had a differnt looking attachment. I think it is some type of magnet of some sort. There was also what looks to be steel plates on a barge next to it.

Looks like a submersible electro magnet to me. A standard scrap yard magnet would not work [for long ]in underwater conditions

WOW ! Excellent post Vinny. This is my kind of stuff. Absolutely no idea what that could be...although maybe some sort of vibratory thingy for pile release.

That's my best guess at least...

I'll do a search and see what I can find out.

Thanks Eric, never thought of the idea that a normal magnet can not go underwater too long


Down the page alittle and you can see how Tom Weeks got the idea to make the forklift attacent for the 5110b
