That is indeed a very interesting set up with the Mammoet truck and Hitachi - I haven't seen anybody do that combination before!. Can you tell me f the Hitachi tracks stay off the ground when on a lowloader?. Looking at your photos the nearest to camera track appears nice and tight/off the ground but the back side one seems to be hanging down more Cheers, Paul

Hi Paul, To be honest with you I had to put a 12mm block of wood under the machine so as to keep the tracks of the ground, and well spotted on the tracks, for some reason not sure if it is common to all the models, but one side is very slack, at first I thought there must have been an extra piece in the track, but no I counted both sides and they were the same number on each side, checked the spring loaded idler and that is OK so I am not sure why there is a difference. One of those things Steve.

Ah, I see so you actually put something under the whole machine - I didn't spot that!.
I am still looking for a (largish) excavator model which has tracks that are well enough sprung or don't hang down to the ground.
My Liebherr 984 is terrible and as you say it just seems to be one of those things.

Steve, Bucket was from a Joal JCB excavator JS330L that I converted to a HRD machine many years ago, was laying around so I thought I would see what it looked like. This is the model that donated the bucket, I think if you trawl ebay you may still be able to pick one up. Steve.

Thanks for the kind words Gus, the JCB model is the Joal JS330L 1:32 scale with HRD boom kit and stabilisers from The Miniature Construction Company, now what happened to them?
Steve.
