On Peter's behalf:- "I received this great model yesterday after many many months of waiting. I must say the wait was well worth it." Below are a couple of comparison photos with the Liebherr R996 shovel in 'Newcrest Telfer' livery. As you can see, the 9800 is quite a lot larger!! Hope you enjoy!! What a beauty Peter! Must come up and see your new additions in person.
I believe that KPC has a third R9800{another backhoe I think} soon to be delivered to site....the 8th unit manufactured to date with more on order from other Oz companies, I assume.

There are still rumors of Liebherr releasing a model of the R9800 sometime next year (Bauma seems likely), and it would be interesting comparing both models.

Beautiful! I think I would have a guard dog by the pair of models. Thanks for posting.

Excellent. Real collectors piece. Even if a mass produced 9800 comes out this will still be significant.
Peter likes to emphasise the track frames on his models. (Adds charm)
If you want one then fill a sack with money and prepare to wait a while.

I'd love to have the undercarriage by its self as a load for my cranes and trailers. Edit. Could someone PM me Peter's contact details, Id like to enquire about the undercarriage.

Outstanding once again Peter. If possible, it would be great to see a new Keim family portrait? Thanks for sharing and posting guys! Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator
