Good to see EFC is busy! Cat (my company) hasn't won any jobs in 2 months, and had to sell some of our Pieces and sell old and parts machines. Other than that we have a HUGE contract with the state to cut about 1,500,000 tons of earth and rock out of a hill to build a 6 lane highway with 16' foot median. we also have a sewer outlet extension project on the coast comming up late this year or next year, We also Bought a 375 with 40 hours on er'. Now were trying to track down a Q/C with buckets... Looks like after a short time of failure were chasing EFC again... Cool

This is why you buy such a big machine.

A little front shoveling.

Twenty-three feet is no problem for the big PC1100

Komatsu's only at this party...Wait! who invited the Cat?

Make sure to keep enough cover on the SDR pipe to keep form deforming it with the compactor wheel.

Cutting a bench for the Deere 450D.

Sitting 10' below grade. It is a little narrow for the counterweight swing.

Murphy's law. As soon as you take the machine all the way into the hole it breaks a pin in the track chain.

Trying to limp the machine out. What a mess

Threw the 336E on the lowboy and drove it a couple miles from a nearby job to fill in for the Deere 450D.

The Deere 450D is back after a days repair.

Setting the last of the massive sewage overflow pipes. It takes all of the hydraulic muscle of the PC1100 to lift it and them some extra weights out back.

Time for the backfilling operation. There are no plans for any roads or structures to be built on the site so no structural backfill is needed in the trench. We are just going to roll this portion in with the loader.

There should be no rules against back-dragging with a loader, a dozer maybe.

Packed up and ready to go!

Did some work to the 350 L to fix the boom mount. Now it has the proper range of motion.

Closing off this end of the trench box with a steel plate.

Putting on longer spreaders on the box. We will be putting a manhole in this hole.

The 350 L has no problem at all lifting this stone box even when it is full.
