Yea all good here mate thanks. AGDs good...very busy. Just about every machine is out on hire at the moment or ready to go out. The whole of the top of the Yard is Tarmac now...not a drop of mud to be seen so its much improved. I used to spend weeks slinging roof sheets a few years ago....loved it  Made a change from erecting day in and day out. Must admit I dont miss any of it now though...25 years fighting steel was enough. Still good seeing the photos though...looks like your having fun.

That's really good to hear mate. Still working with loads of Giken gear? That yard was murder after a bit of rain and it wasn't much better in the heat! Most the drivers here hate steel erecting  cheers mate. Yeah, really enjoying it here!

Getting towards the end of modifying all the Giken pilers now I think although I think there are still some to do. Also started rebuilding the Giken augers as well now so still doing plenty for them. The yard is fantastic now and there is still work ongoing in regard to tidying up and making it look smart. Also getting some new kit in the fab shop which will make life a lot easier. Still most likely be the usual mad rush jobs though I'm sure! Considering unless we did more than 100+ lifts a day when erecting it was considered a bad day I can see why most drivers don't like it! 😊 Andy

Sorry I didnt see this earlier Andy. I must admit I did enjoy my time at AGD. Just wish it wasnt such a drive away Those new Sennebogens look nice and they have brought a few more of those small Marchetti's? AGD's yard is like a space station compared to ABA's  Just a couple of quick photos taken over the last few months. Nothing too exciting. BCHCs Spierings 6 Axle  Leicester Heavy Haulage with a 15 ton tank in Jaguars Land Rovers Factory.  I have recently passed my HGV class 2 test which now means I can drive the cranes on the road. Just waiting for my test so I can operate them.... but I have still been having a play now and then  GMK 3055-1 with full 43m stick out  One of the GMK 4100Ls loading out cabins  My lack of photos is due to being stuck lifting these. Building the largest roof mounted solar farm in Europe. 26,000 odd panels. Its taking up alot of my time!  And the other GMK 3055-1

Thanks Tim. They weren't nothing mega impressive. All standard flat trailers and a couple of 60 foot extendable ' s pulled by a local haulier. Alton village must have been a nightmare for them though!

I have recently been given my own crane, and although its old, I'm chuffed and its a great workhorse. My GMK 3050  an 8 ton silo being lifted into a building  A Nice V8 Scania that was bringing "Hobit Village" loads to me  Inside Alton Towers Park  Some of the 100's/130, and mine  My first bridge, only weighed 1 ton, Hopefully one day they will be abit bigger and I'll be on a bigger crane  Working inside a waste recycling plant, with low headroom   One of Leicester's Nice DAFs that brought some 13ton transformers to us on a Solar Farm  And last but not least the new kid on the block. The replacement for the GMK 5130, A Terex Explorer 5600. 160 ton machine.

Another update from work Down in the pit of a new Energy From Waste plant  Recovering a trailer with one of the 100's which had slipped off the 5th wheel fully loaded!  New 35 ton Kato CityCrane  My "Old" Crane... Been moved onto another 3050 as this one has been part exchanged for another Challenger 3180  But I have been training on the 4100's   And a boat

Another little update. Shuttering in my old 50 tonner  On the same site the next week steel erecting.... on a bit of a slope!  Went out slinging for a change with one of the 100s  One of the last 50's on its way to the docks, bound for Eygypt  A tight one inside a new Jaguar LandRover plant  A Polish AC 200 on that Incinerator job I am back and forth to  On the other side of the site from the AC 200. The last picture I took from my 50  I spent a week under the M5/M6 link in Birmingham training on the 100 tonners moving steel frames used for supporting the motor during major maintenance work  With a 5th Grove GMK 4100L Due the next week I am getting moved up onto this machine, as you can imagine I'm chuffed!  The 5600 out in the rain  Had a full Grove induction on the 4100, Full 60m stick playing in the yard  First day out on a 100, covering someone elses machine back at the Incinerator job.  Cheers
