I bought a job lot of knackered models recently. Lots of projects to work on, and I've started with the Conrad Clark 175C loader. It needed an interior, cab glass (lightly tinted), exhaust, railings, radiator grille, plus all the chips touching up. The Komatsu WA470 just needed a railing repairing and refitting. The MF450 just had a tonne of chips and scratches. It's just about ok now. The Speccast Bantam dragline has a twisted and broken boom. I emailed Speccast to see if they had a spare to purchase and they don't. Any ideas? It's very limp and is only hanging on by one tiny beam! Here are some pics "/> "/> "/> "/>

Looks like you'll have your hands full for quite a while with all that. I'm curious to find out what you plan to do with that D9G. "It's O-gauge or no gauge..."

Yes I'm curious too! I don't know yet. It's scratched up and the undercarriage is a much darker yellow than the rest. One option is to restore, another is to fit a pipelayer from a Joal CAT 591 (of which I have two). The issue with converting to a pipelayer is I'd have to remove the ripper and blade, and that seems a shame as they're rather nice. Is the Gescha D9G quite rare? Should I restore faithfully?!!

That should keep you busy. The Michigan 175C looks nice. Reminds me to get moving on my TC-12 again.

Yep, let's see your TC12! I've got another three awaiting treatment, but I've run out of metal tracks! The D9G pipelayer - hmmmm, could look something like this - "/>

Looks like you'll have your work cut out Jamie. Nice little haul there too.

If you have the patience for fixing up a few problems that's a good way to get older models for a good price. I don't think the Gescha version of the D9G is as rare as the Conrad version. I've thought about getting one and converting it to look like an old logging cat. My Facebook page: NorCalDiecastCustomsClifton
