Good to see that the booms for the LTM1500 are now available, just hope that they are of better quality than the LTM1350 booms, and that they will be in a range of company colours for all the various model that have been released.

Robert, I would think there will be a Mammoet version in the very near future, not like Mammoet to miss out, mind you they may be waiting to see what the quality is like, after all they don't want to have the problems that the LTM1350 version was plagued with.

WSI and Goldhofer

Quote:
Ballast Trailer:
We at WSI Models are proud to present our new Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft ballast trailer. The ballast trailer will be available as a 5-axle (Type SPZ-DL5) and 6-axle (Type SPZ-DL6) trailer.

The Goldhofer company, at the time based in Amendingen, was established in 1705. Here Anton Goldhofer started building a good reputation thanks to his outstanding expertise. The company started with the production of steel constructions for agricultural trailers and then moved into the production of small transport vehicles, such as hand carts, horse drawn carriages and other vehicles. In 1956 the first deep loader with an extendable rear-axle was developed, after which Goldhofer specialized in heavy trailers.

Goldhofer has 650 employees who produce vehicles with a load capacity between 25 and 10,000 tonnes. This means they have large assortment of vehicles and can fulfil a very broad range of transport demands. As a result they are globally recognized as a specialist across different transport modalities: road, rail, sea, and air transport. Goldhofer are specialists in general road transport and special transport.

The first models of the ballast trailer are expected in the second quarter of 2015.

Something to look forward to for the UK guys:

Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are pleased to announce the forthcoming release of a 1:50 scale Scania Topline R560 (8x4) tractor unit and Broshuis 2 axle dolly with 6 axle rear bogie, customised in the classy livery of Scottish operator Finnie Heavy Haulage.

The models will be produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Collectibles as a certificated Limited Edition.

Based in Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire, the Company was established in 2002 by Directors Alan & Ruth Finnie who, with more than 20 years experience in the haulage industry between them, have ensured that the business has swiftly built up a solid and respectable reputation.

Specialising in moving heavy, abnormal & general haulage loads throughout the U.K & Europe, the current fleet is dominated by Scania units, ranging from standard 6x2 & 6x4 trucks, through to the beefy 8x4 unit on which the scale model truck will be based. Finnie Heavy Haulage operates 3,4 & 5 axle semi’s, low loaders, flats, extendable flats & curtainsiders. Only recently, the Company has taken delivery of the first 2+6 Broshuis semi low loader in the UK which, with a loaded running height of 850mm and a 100 ton weight capacity, will prove to be a key asset in the movement of some abnormal loads. The business has its own escort vehicles (which are also available for hire) and pilot cars equipped to be in constant communication with the load whilst on the move. A full route planning service and permit application service are also part of the offering, so enabling Finnie Heavy Haulage to ensure its customers’ requirements are met on time, every time.

The models are expected to be priced around £180 each (including UK delivery & VAT).

Our generous host aside, Jim and Brenda are among the best in the industry to deal with. I am also looking forward to the next 4 British Heavyweights and I am sure there will more like this to come!

I've been trying to convince them to do a 1500 but no luck that I know of yet.

Me too! That is one of the ones I have been wanting SI to do but they seem reluctant. I think they are afraid that it would not sell as well.
