The affordable 1/87 stuff gets my vote.

We need affordable 240 ton and 320+ ton trucks to match up for the 4100xpb's. I would be happy if they were the same quality of the Norscot 1/87 772 and D9T's.

A 793F, 797F, 830E-AC and 930E-AC would be awesome in the $80-$130 range. Might as well make a 994 and D11T as well...the model railroaders would eat this stuff up, BIG TIME

More Paving and Roadbuilding equipment in 1/50. A new AP1055F or AP1000F with a CB54B/CB64 and CW34. Now that's a Paving Train!! Also some zero tail swing excavators would be nice with a quick attach and assorted buckets.

So what you're saying is that you want them to be all plastic?

Are the D9T and 772 all plastic? Nope! But I would be more than happy to have them of that quality to keep the cost down. Plastic handrails don't bug me when it comes to 1/87, but paying $1300 for a model that's not much bigger than a coffee cup does.

I really wouldn't mind if they were plastic either when their of this quality. Here is the Kibri Komatsu 575 and HD 785 and you can buy both for under $100...

Has anyone heard if Tonkin/Norscot/CCM will be releasing anymore CAT models for 2014?? Everything has just become scarce and quiet. I guess we should first wait for the models that are in production from CCM and Tonkin. But what about Norscot??? They did nothing this year other than a 982M and some 1/32 pieces..........And with CCM how long does it take to release a 16M grader model?? Is this still coming or what?Confused There's just no communication sometimes..........Think

New Cat models from all three producers are in development.
16M grader and 349E from CCM expected 1st quarter 2015
New model announcements likely at the toyfair at the end of January from both Tonkin & Norscot and there are some nice models planned for 2015/2016

Ok thanks for the feedback as I do know that Norscot and Tonkin do have some new models they are planning on releasing but not until 2015/2016.

After seeing this, I hope to see a cat buncher, a 527 tracked skidder, Canadian spec 568ll, 568ll with a log max, a nice rubber tire cat skidder, and a smaller cat log loader & road builder model like a 320 or 324d. Im still hoping to see a stroke delimber.
