Thanks guys I really like how it is turning out. Brandon I Like your thinking. I will probably go with power boom.
I took crane out side the other day to get some pic and had a failure on some brackets. So I took the crane apart to repair. Since I was painting some other projects I painted so on the crane. Looks better with paint.

I am thinking about doing these for sale. Would be a small number made. Will be a base machine and there will be add ons available. Once the prototype is finished I have one big project to finish and I will start on these.

Hope you enjoy
Jason

Great job!

Sad it's not made from metal. I will surely buy one, if it.

Rediculously good!! Im sure you will get alot more orders for what you had envisaged.looks extremely sharp and you don't have to worry about licencing so I say get casting and churn 'em out,how many people are waving fists full of money waiting on an LR1300 or CC8800 Twin to appear.

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Applause Awesom work, any plans to make it R/C? Icing on the cake I would say... I like the expanding CW idea, does that eliminate the need for a superlift tray?

Ok have done a lot since last update. I have started painting the model. I am going with a darker gray undercarriage and a yellow upper and boom.

Here is the undercarriage, you can see the catwalk still needs flooring and a set of stairs

Here is the power unit / cab and center section of upper attached

The counterweights have been redesigned. I did not like the bulky blocks so i designed them in 3d and had a few printed. I designed them so i could add 1/2 washers for weight. They will be on the bottom and will not be visible.

Here is the base plate the weights will sit on

Latest th8ng is the addition of led lighting. I design a power control module

as you can see the mod fits into the engine compartment

Video of light test. The power harness for the boom is on a power harness strung on a reel to accommodate different boom configurations
