Great stuff  This is turning in to one expensive year, not that I'm complaining too much. The crane gods would be smiling even more if it was the LG 1550 or LTM 1800 in Ainscough livery. Still don’t understand why they have not been released already, wonder if they ever will? This is my first post, so hello everyone. I collect crane and crane support vehicles, yes another one!, sorry dirt guys, although I do have a WSI Zaxis 870 if that helps  Nick

I don't know why people like these so much? The ltm 1400 are expensive and don't really look that good. Maybe if they were like $400 than it might be worth it.

Paul R Well Paul you have all of them take a picture of the ltm 1400 right beside the ltm 1500 and ltm 11200 and see the difference. Two 600 dollar models vs one 900-1000 dollar model. I don't know, the details are amazing yes but doesn't it look like an old dated crane compared to the rest? Maybe it's just me.

Yes the 1400 does look like an old, dated crane. That I cannot argue because it is an old crane. The 1500-8.1 is a newer generation as was the 1800. If you ask me which crane I prefer the looks of then I'd probably say the 1500-8.1 but I would still argue that YCC make a better model than WSI. Their attention to detail is unparalleled. Since you brought NZG into the mix I would concede that they bring great value for money as they seem to balance detail with a solid model
But for me YCC produce models that are worth the premium price tag.

Ok ,time to chime in.. YCC and WSI can't even be compared to eachother. Apples and Oranges. WSI are made cheap to be sold cheap. YCC is made accurately with precision. Yea, double the price tag but you get what you pay for. As far as looks go, that's all preference. The older cranes like these 1400's are all business. Not meant to be show vehicles!! And yes, it's dated because it's and old crane . a 1990 crane is still a 1990 crane, why would you take a model of a 1990 crane and compare it to a 2010 crane? Of course it will look different. Its good to see old iron reproduced. I love the looks of the 1500 but won't buy another one unless it's a Sarens. And I think WSI should produce that. Probably be a hot seller. Can't understand why they haven't yet

The LTM 1500-8.1 is not that much newer than the LTM 1400... it's still being produced only because the demand is still high  At least the steering of the undercarriage is outdated, with two fixed axles. And then there's the old style crane cabin

That's great that the 1400 is getting a jib. I'd love to see a jib for the Gottwald 1000s. :D
