More updates! Here we have the beautiful Terex AC1000/9 on site to take down a temporary overhead steel bridge. The bridge is about 40m long and weighs 60tons.

Arrival of counterweights and counterweight frames.

Here's something to share with everyone, a trailer currently unique to South East Asia. Its a locally made flatbed trailer than can take up to 80tons. We have an insane axle loading of 18tons per axle.

Asiagroup's brand new Scania P400 with Palfinger PK 110002 SH.

Lifting out outrigger mats for the AC1000/9

Positioning of the mats.

The beautiful mighty monster.

All up and ready for lift off as workers cut off the remaining supports.

What could have been an awesome shot, was ruined by a simple rookie mistake by me. Camera was on Manual Focus mode previously and i forgot to set it back to AF, hence the off focused look.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Thanks alot and thanks everyone! Hmm i'm not exactly a rookie, rather the mistake was one that only a rookie would make, not something i should have made! But the AC1000 slewed around so quickly that i didnt have time to spot my mistake. Im using Nikon D7100 paired with either Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 or Sigma 10-20mm. Smile

Some nice kit there! I shoot with a Canon 20D that is now 10 years old. Keep wanting to upgrade to either 7D MkII or 70D. I know there is a big price difference but I still cannot make my mind up!

Here we have an update of what has gone on recently. Asiagroup's Terex AC1000/9 is seen here set up with 48m of heavy luffing jib with 168tons of counterweights, during a building of a new church in Singapore. It's load are roof trusses which weight approximately 30tons each. Each truss is delivered to site in 3 short sections, which are then bolted on the ground before being lifted into the air in 1 piece. Kindly bear with me for the high amount of pictures here as i covered the complete job of the crane and im pretty sure these shots will make the AC1000/9 owners begging Conrad for a luffing jib for the model!

The AC1000/9 arrives on site with HA50 boom fitted.

The AC80-2 preps the site before the AC1000/9 is driven in.

One of the few 10 ton slabs

The AC1000/9 with counterweights all setup prior to installation of luffing jib. She's simply majestic, isnt it? Note the cramped spaces the crane have to be in, which is what the crane was designed for.

Boom lowered, preparing for installation of luffing jib.

Scania P440 4x2 with locally made low bed trailer carrying the 16ton luffing A-frame

With the luffing A-frame attached, a single wire rope(our local term) holds up the A-frame and in turn the luffing jib butt as the assembly work carries on.

With the luffing jib all setup, workers began reeving the hook with 5 falls of wire rope.

2 days later, a Volvo FM10 with 3 axle trailer delivers one of the roof truss section to site.

An aerial view showing the workers prepping the finalised roof truss for lifting.

Up it goes, as a completed roof truss is being lifted into place.

A majestic view of the beautiful AC1000/9.

After 3 days, the final truss section is being lifted into place.
