What is the best all around job site use mobil crane model? 1/50 Something that can handle unloading typical truck loads on job sites and erecting small buildings? 2 or 3 axle most likely? I see a lot of Grove all terrain cranes on job sites i deliver to.

I assume since you mentioned the all terrain cranes your looking for one of those. Your gonna want to go for 3 and 4 axle cranes, such as the groves that were made by TWH and ect. Hope this vauge information helps!

I would say a 200 ton range would be good for most situations you are discribing. Being a Liebherr guy I would say go Liebherr but depends on what you can afford.

I like my Liebherr LTC1045-3.1 mobile crane, it is a 45 ton crane. Now if you talk crawler crane the Liebherr HS855HD is a good all around crane with a 90 ton capacity.

These are a couple I have, also have a Grove 5130-2 that is pretty good.

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

LTM1050..the detail on this one is exceptional, 3 axle, good variety of schemes and liveries, not too hard on the bank account and just a good allrounder for what you want.

Thanks everyone! I will look in to these models. I saw a Grove RT600 on a job today. Does anyone know if there is a model of any Grove AT cranes? I like Leibherr but they are not common in my area, though if the price is right I can look past that. Lol

The only 1/50 grove RT that I know is the RT540E, it's smaller, but really nice, I know of a guy who has one he's looking to get rid of...

Norscot made the ATS540 in the three versions 1:50 scale, They are pretty good model for the price & they are also very sturdy, although they are not the most detailed.

NZG made the RT700E in 1:50, also a very sturdy model but a bit harder to come by.

Both of these models retail for around $150.
