Great to see you back! Awesome job! I really like the pete twin steer. Seems like no one bothers making those.

Nice job on the Mack MR which is now renamed Terra Pro. Hopefully we can get a new casting of this model in 1/50 as this truck has great potential.

Looks good!

One little trick I learned for those little Peterbilt logos is that you can paint over them, then gently swab them with a dipped Q-tip in thinner (minimal!) and it will reveal the logo. Buffalo Road Imports also sells new decals for those areas too.

Kaidiwei (The chinese knock-off model people) made this recast of the first gear Mack MR with Wittke front load refuse body, It's listed as 1:24 scale but it seems to be around 1:45-1:50 scale.

WCollins,

If it were truly a re-cast, wouldn't the scale be 1:34 just like the original First Gear model?

As it has been explained to me by someone who contacted FG about it, when FG updated its 1/34 casting the files etc were sold to this company and they rescaled it. If you look at some of their other listings you can see that they (likely illicitly) purchase the files for a model, resize it, and then sell it. If the first gear side loader in 1/34 was updated we would likely see this company with a 1/50 scale model of that.

For those who are wondering, this is the Kaidiwei Mack vs the Conrad

The KDW Mack MR is perfect just have to change the rims and tyres on the model as they are larger in diameter by 2 mm. Besides that the truck is spot on. It would be more measurable to use a First Gear truck than Conrad in this photo would show.

Here is a Custom of the KDW
