Here are two projects I've been working on - a Cat 330 and 320 with grapples. The cab guards are from ISM. The grapples were built by fellow forum members - I'll let them chime in with the details. The grapple on the 330 fits the original quick connect, a nice feature. I weathered with airbrushed acrylic paints and AK interactive weathering products.

Original undercarriage compared to painted one.

Weathered body and unweathered boom/stick.

Finished 330

Looking great, agreed on trashing the side panels and the counterweight.

I do like what you've don there. Great weathering!

Think that's the same cab guard I've just put on mt 9100 although I've cut it in places. Really good guards.

Are these supposed to be CMW design grapples?

Thanks for the feedback guys, I appreciate it.

Martin - the grapple on the 9100 looks great! I'm thinking that might be a project at some point in the future..

Really wish I knew how to dent and ding the panels, would be a nice touch. Of course, I forgot to put on my 'Milton Cat' decals, go figure..

Excellent job. Maybe you can airbrush lightly with Tamiya Buff or apply some AK Africa Dust Effects on the top surfaces to simulate concrete dust on demo machines. Smile
