I posted a few of these previously on a thread about the 1:1 crane, but wanted to share some more. This is a 1:48 resin model, built by Mitch Gomez. The large boom butt next to the crane is for the Super Sky Horse configuration. No pics of it built up that way, unfortunately.

These pictures were taken prior to the model being packed for shipping, so not all of the pieces are shown. Having a couple of Mitch's creations in my collection, I know he won't miss a detail, and the model will be fully functional and capable of holding a substantial load. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

John Galt,

I suspect you posted this on purpose just to see if anyone would notice what doesn't fit the thread? Well, I did so can you tell all of us some more about this "little" unit?

Hi John

Very very nice , i hope you don't mind asking but i do not get the complete picture ( i guess it's because English is not my first language ).
Did you ordered this model from Mitch and if so are these pictures he send to you to show the progress ?? .
Or are these pictures taken at your place and do you have the model already , and do you have to do the paint job yourself ?
Also you speak about resin , does that mean Mitch is casting them.
In the last picture it looks like styrene instead of resin , not that it's important but i am very curious about this model.
A lot of questions , i hope you can answer and i don't mind if post some more pictures Smile .
Anyway congratulations with this unique and rare model.

Eef

PS i am curious to about this "little" unit

That picture was a mistake. That small unit is a Link Belt 318.

Eef,
Your English is fine. I am not surprised that this model caught your eye.
First, it does not belong to me. It is one of six that Mitch has made, and he took the pictures before packing it to ship to a fellow collector. The others are still available.
The house (upperworks) are cast in resin. The crawler frames are styrene. The booms are brass.
Mitch sells his models as unassembled kits, or if desired, he can assemble, and paint, before shipping.
As mentioned above, the small crane is a Link Belt 318. I'll try to post some more pictures of that one.

Looks like a really great kit John. Nice project.Applause
Just one question: is the chain really part of the kit? It really looks like Lego motorcycle chain... :d/

If so, it still looks great in that setup.

Hi Stephane,
That is a Micro Mark mini bandsaw. Unfortunately, neither the crane, nor the workshop, are mine. I am posting the pictures for Mitch Gomez. He is the creator of these fantastic models. His brass booms are works of art. This crane is one of five 11320s he has available, and I don't know if this SSH version is for a customer or not.
Anyway, I'm glad you guys are enjoying the pictures. If you are a fan of big lattice boom cranes built in the USA, one of Mitch's models belongs in your collection.
