I am thinking of building an old school D7E 1/50 scale and trying to see what would be a good downer blade assembly to use. Either a TD15 blade and cylinders or a Komatsu D65 blade. Looking at 12ft wide and approx. 4ft high. "/>

3mscrap,
If a twelve foot (12') blade is appropriate for the Caterpillar D7E you intend to model, the blade off the I.H. TD15 will have to be widened. The blade on the I.H. TD15 measures 2 3/8" wide or 9' 6" in 1:48 scale.

Ok well scrap the TD15. Anyone have any ideas? What about a Leihberr 731, how does that measure up?
