So the truck and crane came in yesterday, so I thought that I'd share a little preview of what I'm going for. The crane is a palfinger pk53002 Sh.

Update,

Got the frame work done and started the bed, still have lots of detail work and reassemble the cab and build all the accesories for the tank and not to mention the tank it self.

What did you do with the rotator body off the chassis.
Looks cool, why put the second steering axle behind the fuel tank instead of in front of it and shift the fuel tank back.

The rotator body is still fully intact but missing the light bar. The reason about the lift axle is because of the weight laws in Ontario Canada this allows the truck to carry 21-23 metric tons. Most trucks this size have a spif axle like this and the secondary tank behind it because of ease of accessibility when fuelling and a better location because of battery boxes, hyd tanks and the dpf system.

Thanks everyone for the awesome comments.

Nice build, looks good. Is the drop axle steerable? If not, I doubt if you would be able to turn a corner, Whistle Ken

Looks good.

The drop axles are common here, but most are not quite that far forward. Some are though, and it is to allow more weight due to the bridge formula.

The drop axles are usually self steering with springs to center them. They self steer due to the caster built in to them, and due to that they are usually set up to automatically raise when the truck is put into reverse, as they will try to turn all the way around.

Nice looking custom!
