From DHS description:

"Building on the robust and productive Cat 5110B, the new 6015B Hydraulic Shovel delivers a productivity advantage over other 100 ton shovels thanks to the most powerful engine in its class, a large standard bucket and payload capacity of 14.6 tons. The design translates to fast cycles and a pass match advantage over leading standard-equipped shovels in its class when loading trucks of 55, 65 and 90 ton capacities. The 6015B is equipped with a single Cat C27 ACERT™ 12-cylinder diesel engine that provides 813 HP. As with all hydraulic shovels, the greater the engine power, the greater the digging power and the faster the digging cycles. The 10.6 cubic yard standard bucket, outfitted with Cat C70 hammerless GET, further boosts production capability. With the standard bucket, the 6015B is optimized to fill a Cat 773 truck in four passes, a 775 in five passes, and a 777 in seven passes. These truck models are commonly found in heavy construction, quarry/aggregate and small to mid-size mining operations across the globe."

CCM's description:

"Model Details:

• Grease gun and hose reel
• Positionable boom, stick, and bucket
• Hydraulic lines
• Grab / handrails
• Lights and mirrors
• Track rock guards
• Warning / safety labels
• Opening door to detailed operator’s cab • Instrumentation
• Control levers
• Foot pedals
• Track tensioners
• Windshield guard (FOGS)
• Positionable access ladder
• Sliding counterweight
• Engine visible through opening doors"

Looks like a solid offering. Maybe it will make up for the CCM 390 ME I missed out on.

Thanks for sharing.

I am going to regret it if I miss this one. I was just wondering 3 days ago if anyone would make a 6015. I might have to put my DHS gift certificates to good use.

Any ideas on when it will be available?

I'd think possibly by Christmas? Maybe I'm reaching and hoping a little too much. Going to be a perfect match for the 777G coming out, great that means more money I'll have to spend!

Don't miss out on this one boys, you saw what happened to the 385/390!! Now I am glad I didn't preorder the 651/657s.

I'm guessing around $500, so I think this will be more like the 6020. Still available

I know someone did a custom 6015 using a Norscot 5110b as a base for it. My question is: how close in size are the two? I'd love to order one of these, but that sort of money is a bit rich my pocket, so custom building one is my only option. I still want a 992C though... Someday.

Until I see it, I'm doubtful. That's the same price as the 385/390. But the 6020 were so expensive??

If the model is close to the picture, its not $300 worth of model. I'm sorry but that's taking the *iss.

I dont think $299 is too crazy, the 349's and 245me's we insanely priced,I think the first 245 excavators were about €210 and the ME's came in at close to €300!! the 6020 was again insanely priced,

CCM pieces seemed to have gain a lot of popularity now through collectors and from the last few models they made it seems like they are exploiting that fact,

A 1/48 model will be 4% larger than a 1/50 scale model,if this is reflected when measured, time will tell

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

See it there.

Well it's only the prototype so give it some time for the final model.

I figured no way it was going to be the price that it is, I figured on par with the 6020 but was wrong. Hell, even the 775G is $330! And I agree they've gained a lot of popularity because they're making models we collectors have wanted and asked for!

This model looks amazing and I'm sure the level of detail is the reason for the asking price. Anybody who's owned a CCM model knows that they are in a different league from the likes of Norscot, Conrad, NZG etc with their excavator models. And some collectors are happy to pay the extra $/£ for the increased level of realism and true-to-life accuracy, which I'm sure costs a lot to produce.

One point I think needs to be stressed here: don't be too quick to judge a model like this on one photo that hides most of the juicy details. I'm sure a quick 360 video with close-ups of the details would quickly set people on the same track regarding price.

Sadly they've used textbook studio lighting which makes the model look flat and uninteresting, not to mention the blown-out yellows and underexposed blacks in the undercarriage.

I don't see any problem with this model being $299. Has good mass and will probably have working panels and full engine. Not the value of a WSI 870 but those days seem to be gone

I assume it means the CW is removable as per the real machine. Admittedly, "sliding" is a strange choice of word.

I think he means a counterweight removal device.

It's said to "slide" to show the features of the engine compartment, it isn't a removable one. But I am sure that somehow it probably is removable.
