Gents: Has there ever any decent diecast construction models been made in these scales? No trucks, just construction.

All the 1/32 Cat stuff. There's some Bobcat out there, off brands, and if I'm correct, Ertl made a few things. That's all I know of. Think

Ertl did a 310SJ Deere backhoe a few years ago and it is a nice piece. JLG did some stuff in 32nd scale several years ago too. I picked up one of their military telehandlers in od green. Both are nice pieces. I don't keep track of this stuff like I used to so have no idea if any of this stuff is still available or not. Good to see some of the old timers still post on here Q.

I own a ROS 1:32 Hitachi ZX210 and an OldCars Komatsu SK815 skidsteer. From what I recall Norscot made an array of compact equipment in 1/32 and diecast masters makes a CAT 910K. Other models I can think of are the ROS Hitachi/FiatHitachi excavators, loaders, and dozers, the Joal/Guisval 1/32 PC400s with rubber or metal tracks, and the Joal JS330. Unfortunately most of the excavator models feature the "unsightly" metal linked tracks, though they are better than rubber bands.

All the earlier Case construction equipment produced by Conrad and NZG were 1:35 scale. Conrad also produced Massey Ferguson, Kobelco, Fermec, and Terex backhoe in 1:35 scale. Joal produced several JCB and Dynapac models in 1:35 as well.

SPS made a solid Case 580 in 1:32 scale Video here.. Also a decent Gradall Here.

Some other odds and ends too. Hiram made some fair telehandlers. Joal has some pavers, excavators, and loaders that are borderline toys. First Gear made a couple models like the Hamm Rollers (I think it was FG), and this Takeuchi.

Yat Ming made a Cat D9 dozer. I have not seen one for sale in a long time. I remember seeing them go for $350.00-600.00Whatever Ken

Most I've ever seen is the Deere Farm equipment. More of a kids toy but fairly detailed. At one time Ertl (Tomy or who ever they are now), made a couple Precision Deere pieces. One was a tractor and a Combine.

Thanks for the input. Just got one of the new 1/34 First Gear International Paystars with lift axle four axle, flip lowboy. Great scale, great details. The scale is odd, but easy to get the high detail without taking up too much space. I think an excavator would go well with it. I'll post pictures later. CAW

There are also a few odds and ends pieces of equipment made by First Gear for their 1/32 United Rentals series, I believe. Not sure if it's plastic or diecast though.
