I have wanted a shop in 1:50 scale for some time I finally got motivated to build it. My plans for the garage include lots of junk to fill the inside. I also want to be able to fit any of my models inside for routine service or full rebuilds. I also want to light the inside for "late night work". I used Evergreen sheets of styrene siding for the walls. I just painted the walls on one side. The floor is just textured paint, looks a little like worn concrete. The beams are plastruc 7/16 inch beams. The H columns are 1/4" plastruct. I painted them in Rustoleum red primer.

Time to move in. I am going to make some more details to add as I go. The TC-12 getting some work done. I am definitely going to need some lights. I ordered some LED lights to go inside.

Added some signs to the interior. Looks a little more like a gear head garage. Put some oil and grease on the shelves. We also have represent! Go Indy!

I put these in my buildings but I have a train layout so power for them is not as issue. I have a race shop on my layout and these lights are nice. http://www.microstru.com/Flourescents.html I am also building a maintenance shop, I will be posting pictures soon hopefully.

Brilliant project. I wish I had more space to make one too. I ended up doing a fake one with just the front wall and doors... Now, you need that Snap-On pin-up calendar on those walls too...

Burning the midnight oil here at the shop. The mechanics really like the new metal halide lights.

The whole paving fleet fits minus the milling machine and shuttle buggy. A good paving company goes thru all of their paving equipment to prepare it for paving season. Have to park all of this equipment inside where it is warm, it does not like to start when it is cold outside.

The 657's are sleeping outside waiting on the weather to break. Big stripping job starting as soon as the ground is ready.

Wow! Great job, love the lights and the wall signs!

Great job looks realistic. You need some oil on the floor. The lights give it a realistic touch. I've wanted one for years. Great job. CAW

Love the garage piece. The yellow crash pins outside the doors is such a brilliant touch. The LED lighting really brings it to life. Thanks so much for sharing. Take care and all the best.

Nice job Ethan. The mechanics might need a soda machine. I think my shop needs some lights. I like it!
