So some of you guys may remember the Peterbilt 335 I had built way back, it is a nice truck. Well I decided to change the body on the truck for the third time since I've owned it.  Well here it is now  And after gluing my fingers together several times (BTW gorilla gell super glue is very good at bonding), and dumping what seemed to be more than half a floz of what I believe to be testors version of road line yellow all over my lap and lower torso. Here is the half finished product.   I still have to build; fenders, a dump box w/tarp, a flat bed, I'm thinking about strobes on the roof, install the tool box I had previously removed, make a frame for a salter unit I have for this and find or buy a hydraulic tank. I would say that these hooklift systems are getting easier to build but that's controversial at best. Thank you for looking!

Gee, I thought I was the only one who spilled paint like that (mine was Tamiya Orange while I was painting a First Gear belly dump trailer. Couch is now a pretty DOT Orange color along with a pair of jammie pants), I haven't tried the Gorilla glue yet though.
All spills aside, great job on the truck, can't wait to see more!!

A little bit of an update, rough shaped the dump box just have to clean it up a little more and may have to rebuild the tarp arms. Tomorrow will be building the flat deck, paint, chrome checkered fenders and light bars.

Well I have the fenders built, chromed and installed. Box is getting painted along with the flat deck. Still the strobe/light bar to do.  A better veiw of the fenders, they didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted them but they look good regardless.  More to come once the paint cures.

So here it is all painted, the box is supposed to be a gloss finish but when the temperature outside starts at +12 and ends up +3 and rain I'm not surprised it turn out like this, guess I'll just have to give it another coat once the temp comes up. I'm thinking about painting the dove tail of the flat deck yellow or adding two yellow stripes on it at least. All that's left to do is add the tarp system once the box is done, side boards, tool box, aux fuel tank, ether strobes on the mirrors or the light bar I have off the tow body and last but not least decals. Now enough rambling, time for pictures!   Now if Diecast Masters would make a Cat 305.5E2 [nudge nudge] to compliment the 259D then this would make a awesome set. Any how that's all for now, Enjoy!

These are the types of trucks Sword should look at making next. These are so many single axle trucks out there that could be modeled...hint, hint!
