So this is what I had been working on over the last two months.I got an order to build two big dioramas with custom models fitted with Led lights and a sound modul for a local heavy haulage company. The time frame was very short. And so I worked more than 500 hours in these two months to get everything finished in time.

Dio 1 is a roundabout traffic that has been cut in the middle to allow the transport of a windmill tower section to pass.

All these models have working led warning lights-33 leds in total. They are controlled by a Arduino microprocessor.

And dio 2 is a steep hill in the forest leading to a windfarm. The company CC Bäuml owns two of these ex military Faun Elefant tractors, rated at about 900 hp.
The Faun tractor is a Asam kit fitted with custom wheels and a scratch built ballast box.Right under the model I put a speaker connected to a mp3 player, which plays the engine sound of the Elefant recorded from the real machine.
And the semi trailer behind the MAN truck is also almost completely built from scratch.About 150 trees and bushes had been "planted" for this dio, some of them also self built from wire. The biggest one is made of almost 600 feet of wire.

electronics:

Meanwhile the two dios have been put into custom built display cases fitted with real glass covers. The glass covers alone have a weight of 90 pounds each. The dios are part of the exhibition booth of the company at the "wind exhibition" this week in Husum/north germany and will be later displayed in the entrance area of the new built office building of CC Bäuml company.

It´s made of a thin layer of plaster bandages, followed by 2-3mm of plaster.Let this dry for 2-3 days, sand it to a even surface, put on black paint, then a mixture of wood glue and water. And what looks like sandpaper is z gauge railroad gravel, almost as fine like dust. And it´s then fixed with another layer of water/glue mix.And the white lines are just painted on top. It´s quite some work but it offers many possibilities. You can create the road in any shape and won´t have any seam compared to sandpaper. You can put those manhole covers into the road, create potholes in the road surface. You can also put another layer of gravel in different colour on top and create road repairs or just open the surface for roadworks.

for example:

These were made with the same techniques.

Yes,this is Renault Kerax tipper I built in 2011.Basically a Conrad tipper body with a Joal cab and modified chassis. The colour changes from silver to blue and violet depending on the ambient light.

The grass is made with a modified electric fly swatter. It works the same like the common static gras applicators but costs much less (only around $10).You can find guides for the modification on youtube.I bought mine already modified on ebay.

Yeah, some of these transports had to be done under really bad weather conditions. The good thing about the Elephant is,it does not only have big horsepower, but it also has two big winches onboard. So in case you ever get stucked you can pull out yourself.
