It´s made of a thin layer of plaster bandages, followed by 2-3mm of plaster.Let this dry for 2-3 days, sand it to a even surface, put on black paint, then a mixture of wood glue and water. And what looks like sandpaper is z gauge railroad gravel, almost as fine like dust. And it´s then fixed with another layer of water/glue mix.And the white lines are just painted on top. It´s quite some work but it offers many possibilities. You can create the road in any shape and won´t have any seam compared to sandpaper. You can put those manhole covers into the road, create potholes in the road surface. You can also put another layer of gravel in different colour on top and create road repairs or just open the surface for roadworks. for example: These were made with the same techniques.

Yes,this is Renault Kerax tipper I built in 2011.Basically a Conrad tipper body with a Joal cab and modified chassis. The colour changes from silver to blue and violet depending on the ambient light. The grass is made with a modified electric fly swatter. It works the same like the common static gras applicators but costs much less (only around $10).You can find guides for the modification on youtube.I bought mine already modified on ebay.

It´s made by Siku.I just tinted the rear windows and put on custom wheels. catkom3 wrote:As others have said Jan,fantastic diorama, but it rather looks like the real deal was quite a challenge as well,?? Faun Elefant videoRegards Joe. Yeah, some of these transports had to be done under really bad weather conditions. The good thing about the Elephant is,it does not only have big horsepower, but it also has two big winches onboard. So in case you ever get stucked you can pull out yourself.
