I have two questions for someone to answer. I have a friend who has asked me these questions and, even though I know almost everything Teeth , these have me stumped...

1. Simple question. What is the "JEL Design" portion of the new Diecast Masters D11T Dozer? What does that mean?

2. Maybe harder. Does anyone know the weight of a Bucyrus 495 Track? I have a customer who wants to put a track on a flatbed as a load, but we both think they are way too heavy to make that realistic, even with a heavy flatbed trailer. IF we knew the weight of a track pad or a track section, we could then tell.

We have googled these questions and have not come up with satisfactory answers. There are other ways to find out, but the easiest may be posting it here.

Who can help?

Chuck

One side has 47 track pads, 2500 lb ea. = 117,500, without the track frame. Ok on a 4 axle tractor and 4 axle trailer.

I can tell you that it takes 4x B Doubes to move all track pads for a 4100A shovel

Correct me if I'm wrong,
JEL to my knowledge is the requirement standard a machine has to meet for use in Australia. So for example safety eqipment, noise emission...

Don't know what JEL specifically stands for, sorry.

Not at all.. JEL is the serial number prefix for that particular spec D11T (eg. JEL000344)
