So this started as the classic conversion of a Joal 375 with a resin ME boom kit. Then I thought, why should I invest my time into the Joal undercarriage? Just replace it with the part from a 374d and you have a metal boom instead of resin. So I got that cheap "Norscot" branded model directly from China. But it did have the wrong metal tracks.O.K. so let me replace these by a set of wide ISM metal tracks.
I then found more and more wrong things on the Joal model, starting with the cab that has the wrong shape. So I looked out for a alternative. But at that time I couldn´t find any 5080 front shovel model nowhere nearby.Went on ebay.com and found one in miserable condition located in San Diego,CA.Had that shipped across the pond to me.I then started from new and tried to fit the pieces from the different models.

Why not have a cab door that can open and close?Well, you need two cabs for this, one for the cab and one for the door.So I casted the cab in resin to get two of them.

I then added a small hinge,so it could be opened.

The bucket is custom made from a Liebherr 984 bucket, little different shape, new teeth and custom hinges.

I then painted the model, put on decals and gave it a "light" weathering.

Good looking 375 you created there. Great job along with your attention to detail.
Thanks for posting it.
