I finally got to go by the Shell build site (new ethane cracker facility) being built outside Pittsburgh on the Ohio River. The Mammoet PTC-200 is on site and is incredible! Amazing opportunity to see it in person, let alone fairly close-up. I'm definitely more of an earthmoving fan, but can get excited about big cranes...and this thing is off the charts. We also have a PTC here in Alberta in Fort Sask. right now. Very impressive!

Not from Pittsburgh, but I’ve been in the area for the past couple years. It’s well worth the trip up as you can see! There is a side street right at the site entrance you can park on, then I hiked up the opposite hillside to get the view. A bit of a climb, but time well spent!

Nice pics  I can tell how impressive these PTCs are - I went to see the test site in Westdorpe NL in 2011 and 2012. In february 2012 the 3rd PTC of this generation, a PTC 140 was built up with about the same long boom configuration as this PTC 200 in Pittsburgh. One thing that stands out even from a distance is the massive luffing reeving... the largest bridles ever for this type of boom configuration (between two luffers)? Lots of cranes. There’s also an LR11350, two cc6800s, three LR1750s, two Manitowoc 18000s.
