Ken: I love the Dresser and the CAT 988. Great work. How do you store your models? You seem to have so many. Craig

Very nice looking snow fleet you built!
Someone posted some pics on FB a few days ago of 988K’s with snow boxes on them. My thought was holy cow, how much snow would you need to justify a 988K to plow with?!
Are you an enviromentist, or do you work for a living?

Ken again nice looking snow equipment. The 988 is truly a snow machine because of its age. Steve

It would have to be at an airport with a Big blade. When I made the 1st 988 and Dresser 560, there weren't a lot of medium size loaders out yet.

Ken,
about every time I see your 988 snow plow special, I think about my CCM log loader and am tempted to do a similar custom. It looks so great. Is this a Chicago based machine?
Best regards, Max

Best regards, Max The Airport owned a lot and the rest were hired contractors. A lot were based off the Cat 834, 988, and Michigan's. They had 30 and 40 foot wide blades. Before I retired,I hauled the New style Oshkosh blowers and Chicago Fire Department Strikers back and forth to the Oshkosh Service Center. I also hauled private contractors into the airports starting around Thanksgiving. They would stay running until spring and used as needed. The operators are all on call Union members. They had fuel and service trucks, mechanics tending them 24 hrs a day. Ken great real equipment pictures of the airport snow removal fleet. I liked those Michigan loaders as much as the Cat’s, we used all Cat loaders in our company except for one used Michigan 125B we used strictly as a snow thrower. Ken it looks like you had a great job in the trucking industry from the pictures you post. Steve

I love your Chicago-themed work. I have the O'Hare Striker, and I think there were only a handful of them made. Thanks for sharing!
