Nice looking mining truck model. Ian, how do you get the moving shots of models? Genuinely curious!!! Thanks, Jamie

I often wonder myself....

No moving platforms or fishing line, that's for sure.

Diecast Masters is stuck in the 80's with their massively wasteful packaging.
I almost feel bad for the planet and I am not one of those.

I personally,would like to collect more Diecast Masters models.For instance,at least four scrapers,the boxes though,would take up way too much space,a metal box,in a box,sent in a box of polysterene packaging.There is usually,more packaging than model!.I can make room to display the models.

Ok Ian, I will just have to file that under 'unexplained', along with the popularity of Radio 1 and why sausages are sold in ropes.

It would be kind of fun to see a "behind the scenes" video of Cranes Etc!

Weserhutte is definitely correct about it being gravity. Just mount the camera on the board so it is in line with it, provide a small gradient and it rolls along.

Where did you come up with "moving platforms"?

"The platform the model sits on will have an "actuator" of some kind to either lift or lower one end a couple of degrees"

Nope. No moving platforms.

Ian;

Do you know (or anyone else for that matter) if the Komatsu D375A-8 will be offered in a white paint scheme like some previous Komatsu dozers?

Hmmmm, well I've given it quite a bit of thought, and I've come to the conclusion that you're using black magic to move the models. I've also decided that you are playing and recording all the Cranes etc music yourself - I recognised your voice on one tune a few months ago.

Magic sounds right, but it is much more mundane than that.

Yes, I put all the music together for the videos. That probably explains the quality....
