I decided to add a low loader NYC 90's style, like Malbros and Confortti had to haul big crawlers like 4100W around town. I am using parts of disused projects to build it. I just finished the axles with solid suspension and I am working my way forward.  I just glued the beams and it is sitting in the windowsill using the some solar energy to speed up the curing of the glue:  Kerst

This weekend I made some good progress with the Rogers trailer. I have some picture of 3 different Roger low loaders, which are all slightly different in detail. My version will be a combination of these. It is all still pretty rough and unfinished, but it gives a preview of the finished low loader.      Kerst P.S. I made some progress. Apart from some detailing and painting it is ready. I added a winch behind the cab and there is a motor in the gooseneck to raise the trailer. I use a switch to change form drive motor to the other motor. This is the first test run. The 4100W is quite heavy, even without counterweights and the truck feels it. The frame of the low loader is plenty strong and even flexes a bit. The truck goes forward pretty well, but steering doesn't respond very well. There is too much weight on the tandem axles. Maybe I should add a dolly. Would be fun, but more difficult to reverse! I made a start with load securing, but the elastics don't really do it. It actually needs a chain. I like the introduction: " A little side project "  . Just like a few months project... But yes, I know about those too. Too many ideas, too little time! Great looking truck. I like the Mack, looks like an Autocar. Just like the latter, I have seen many in my younger age in the 80s. And their odd side shifted cabs made them unique. That was back in the days where these machines looked like they could last forever, then the average Joe could fix them. Now, we've gone in the Tesla era where you need a computer telling you what is going on in your engine, then you will soon need to have online "security" updates for your car (or maybe they already do??), or otherwise it just won't start... Lol, i got news for you kerst. The real DM800 converted into tractors didn't turn very well either!
One of the first loads i moved way back when i was 21 was a Cat 235 on a 60 ton Trail King with a DM800 tractor. I went to make a hard left and the front end just plowed straight. I must of backed up and slowly pulled forward and turned a half dozen times Lol.

Wow, cool that you are posting the wooden blocks: just another way to be able to enjoy the 4100 in different more angles.  She is beautiful, even if you are saying she is that old. That shows you already had great skills back in the 80s. Stef
