Are they mounted permanently in the display case or are they removable?

Yes they are attached to their display cases. These are great looking models. I have the Autocars. They are very fragile. they are expensive, made of resin, and to maintain their value, I don't know if they should be removed. Too bad because I would love to pair them with an older style lowboy. If you like displaying your models only, then for sure buy one. CAW

I love the Mack R model, this really tears at me because the price and the fact it’s resin. Imagine if Tekno or WSI would have made the R600 vs the F700, (instead of them both making similar trucks). I would have had at least one shelf full.

I grabbed one. I picked up two of the firetrucks early this year. They are super fragile, they are de-mountable, and I display mine that way. My two trucks will be displayed out of their cases with trailers as well.

Colonel you need to get yourself one of these. Once they are displayed, you can't tell if they are metal or plastic and the detail is spectacular! You can attach a trailer to these!
Now I know you like to get down on the floor and roll them around making Vroom Vroom sounds, but you can't do that with these models! Keep that in mind!
Merry Christmas!!

Amazing model but resin and the price... Love the old school trucks but will have to wait for WSI or some one to pick up this line,
For $120-150 these would sell well.

Maybe some of you Mack guys will know....I remember my Dad’s 1978 and 1979 Rs with 300s and 12 valve heads having two air hoses going to the air cleaner, like this model but his 1985 with the 350,24 valve head only having 1 hose to the cleaner. I thought that the 2 hoses was out by 1987. Not rivet counting, it just had me wondering. Thanks.

In snow and cold weather you can draw warmer dry air from under hood into air cleaner. Instead of clogging air cleaner intake with snow possibly. For $120-150 these would sell well. They are going to sell well as it is, they will sell out. (might take a little longer for the goofy colors) These are museum quality and in very small runs. I doubt you will see these from any one else unless Mack wants them. Fire Replicas has a very good relationship (not to mention licensing) with Mack and their Fire trucks. The WSI F Mack was modeled after the ones in the Netherlands and (Drake RH drive) in Australia. It appears Tekno only made 2 US versions sold at the Mack store. Very disappointing that their are not more US versions. It will take some one (like Chuck) to get the ball rolling for WSI US versions. Mark Kamp (of Sid Kamp Trucking Inc, Mokena, IL just south of Chicago) got get the ball rolling on the B81 and the R model with Fire Replicas. Kamp's have the real B81 which I posted pictures of earlier. 1st Gear has a 1/64 R model and will be introducing the Superliner shortly, but unfortunately in 1/64 scale. Can't seem to get them to go the distance on 1/50 stuff.

I’m scared to even touch it let alone remove it from it’s base. Looks like you would have to damage the base of you wanted to remove the truck from it
