Hi guys

Here is my American 11310 crane in 1:50 scale.
I always wanted a 1100 series American as model in my cabinet, so i decided to build one.

After long thinking decided i found the 11310 the most beautiful model of the range.
Mainly because the counterweight configuration looks better in proportion to the rest of the machine.
But this is of course a personal taste thing.
For now i went for the basic machine with a short boom.
Decided to 3D print all the parts, and that worked out pretty well.
Printing quality is rapidly getting better and better, prices unfortunately not so much.
Found another printing company that has very good and new material, very strong and very nice resolution.
So the whole model is 3D printed except for some brass axles.

After all this work decided to put the parts up for sale, so that whoever want this also can build this model.
Must warn you this is not an easy model and not for the inexperienced model builder.
Also like i said went to another 3D printer (instead of the well-known one) Material is great, prices are better.
But still is wish the prices would be a lot less, butt that is out of my control.

Nice part is that this base machine can be converted in a lot of variations.
At the moment i am working on a few of these options and variations.
One of them is the 11320 instead of 11310, all the parts are already for sale to build that one as well.
The elevated cab is under construction (digital) and so is the runner.
So lots of things to come.

Eef

Parts are for sale here : 11310/11320 parts

And made a special Facebook page for questions about the build, updates, and so on.

Hey, I did notice your parts a few days ago as I ordered anodized steel A frame sheaves supports for my LR1750 through Shapeways.

She sure looks great. What a nice classic crawler crane that made.

That's one great project. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliments , yes i have a lot things on Shapeways , but not to happy with the prices so for this project i switched to i.materialise.com.
Must say this material i used now is better then the Shapeways material , and prices are better also.
Service is also very good.
Only one disadvantage for me , if i want to put something in the shop i need to order it at least one time myself.
Very logical from their point of view, it avoids a lot of hassle with unprintable parts.
But if i want to transfer al my parts from shapeways to imaterialise i need to order 500 parts again Teeth

Beautiful job!
I remember being on a highway job in early 90's and seeing Cornell's 11000 series crawler. Tracks were just absolutely massive.

We rally round the family, with a pocket full of shells.....

That's a really impressive crane. Your workmanship is excellent.

Any chance of making a kit available? I would prefer this to buying individual parts.

No sorry , you have to buy all the parts at Imaterialise , but i can give you a hand with the part list.
But it is basicly put a bunch of parts in the shopping cart at Imaterialise and you have 98% of the crane.
And some brass axles from you local hobby shop.
I have a part list available for the brass axles , gone post that in the next few days at the FB page.
Let me know if you want help.
