Hi everyone,
I have a question in regards to the Bymo PC 8000 diecast models if anyone can help me out I’d appreciate it. After an absence from the hobby I would like to add a PC 8000 to the collection.
I have noticed that there are various part numbers of the PC 8000 model, are the -11 models more detailed than the - 6 ones. Is the build quality better etc . If you own one of these models I would really be interested to hear what you think of the model.
25026/1 electric shovel Pc 8000-6 25026/12 electric shovel Pc 8000 - 11 25026/8 diesel shovel Pc 8000 - 11
25026/2 diesel backhoe Pc 8000 - 6 25026/11 diesel backhoe PC 8000 - 11
Thanks in advance

THE PC8000-6 is now discontinued and for the diesel version is was a Tier 2 option. The PC8000-11 is now a Tier 4 Final and has a slightly higher operating weight. For the models, the diesels have a slightly different layout on top of the machine like the fire extinguishers and exhaust porting. With the electric versions I don't know if there is much difference between the two because Bymo didn't change the cabs so I think they are very similar in look. Basically the -6 is just the older version of the -11.
A Millwright..... in Alberta.

Thanks Pascal73,
They are both very nice models and look well detailed with subtle changes on each.I am going to go for the PC 8000-11 model, I haven’t bought any models in years with one thing and another. So looking forwards to adding a mining excavator to the collection.

Nice comparison pictures! I'd love the backhoe, but I think my big model buying days are in the past. Graeme, I see you're in Cumbria. I'm hoping to get to Threlkeld in a few weeks for the Vintage Excavator weekend. Are you going? It all depends on the weather, but it's certainly looking up a bit now thank goodness!

Hi Jamie,
Sorry for the delay in replying I’ve been on holiday.
I am working that weekend so won’t be going to Threlkeld, I have been to a previous working weekend he’d there albeit a few years ago. It’s a good day out, watching and listening to the old machines working and seeing the skilful operators.
Regards Graeme
