I finally opened one of my Heavy Haul Macks. I usually just keep them in boxes, but I was curious. They are magnificent in detail. Comparing them to Sword trucks, they are a bit more detailed, but not as heavy> I love the original Swords, especially the Peterbilts. How do youz guyz compare them? Heavy Haul has more variety too. I can't wait to see the trailers. CAW

First impressions: 1. Details are great. Really great. 2. Feels light on the diecast.

Although there are plastic parts in the new Heavy Haul Replicas trucks, they are a slight bit more detailered that the Sword models (except the KW C500) IMO. The cab paint is flawless and has a deeper finish with the newer paints available. I have Sword and WSI trucks and I like them very much. Here are a few I have in my collection. 100_4970 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/> 100_4969 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr 100_4968 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/> 100_4967 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr Untitled by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/> Untitled by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/> z KWC500 Cat D10T 3 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr

Great pics and great trucks. I accidently shipped my Premay by accident to someone. Wish I had it back now. These Heavy Hauls are killer looking. CAW

I don't have one but they look great! Macks aren't really my to my liking which is the only reason I haven't picked one up yet. I keep hoping to see an old Pete 359 but I know I'm dreaming lol. I wanted one of those Premay C500s last time they were available but I waited too long and they were gone by the time I got around to ordering one. I went with black instead and converted it to a day cab. Facebook: NorCalDiecastCustomsInstagram: NorCalDiecastCustomsClifton

I would think that the similarities would be because it is the same team of people behind producing them. Management at HHR and the model engineer and the factory producing them made the original Sword Models. The new HHR models would be a bit lighter due to the refinement of tooling and the decision to produce some parts in plastic. I think the decision to make additional plastic parts is because you can achieve a much better level of detail in plastic vs diecast.
