I am building a 1/50 Talbert Ring Gear trailer. Ring gear is 17' in diameter, printed in resin. Trailer started out as a Conrad Talbert RGN, and I made the rack out of Evergreen/Plastruct plastic. 100_5724 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/> 100_5725 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/> 100_5726 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/> 100_5727 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/> 100_5728 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr 100_5729 by Ken Wheeler, on Flickr"/>

Does 17' mean the diameter of the actual ring gear? 1/50 would mean a diameter of around 4". I was looking at a Joal lowboy and it sits about right for that size. Btw, I love the background.

The gear came in 2 pieces (for a load on a RR car) and I epoxied them together.
