I am confused (no kiddin). Is the Rogers four axle flip a 60 ton capacity lowboy? Or is it 75 tons? When paired with a Kenworth 6x4 T800 8x4, if properly permitted in each state, could it haul a Volvo EC460cl? CAW I think the hoe weighs around 50 tons

Mine is displayed flip down, truck lift axle up with an EC460 on it. Legal weight in Ontario is good for a Deere 470/Cat 352 on that same combo.

The Sword (WSI) Rogers Lowboy is a 55 or 60 rated trailer. The empty weight of a 4 axle Kenworth and the 4 axle Rogers trailer is around 55,000. (My KW W900 4 axle and 4 axle 60 ton Talbert was 56,000) The Volvo 460cl weighs about 105,000. You are looking at 160,000 gross weight. In States that have a 20,000 maximum axle permit weight (like Iowa), you would need a jeep. In States that have a 24,000-26000 axle maximum, (190,000) good to go. Some of those States require a booster (spreader) between trailer axles 3 and 4. Q, where you live, on the same set-up as the model, maximum axle weight would be: 20.000 - 60,000 - 68, 000 (148,000). You would need a jeep and a booster/spreader on the trailer. 20 - 40 - 40 - 60 - 20,000 (180,000 on 9 axles) O OO OO OOO O Whistle

Ken: I assume your circles on your response signify where the axles/wheels should be. So, starting from the left, you have a one axle booster, then two axle spreader, then a two axle jeep, then the 8x4 KW T800? Can you draw this out or use some of your trucks and trailers to show me. It seems like it would be a really long set-up with all those axles and boosters and jeeps. Craig

Steer axle - tractor tandem - jeep tandem - trailer tri axle - booster single

Thanks Ken, that's better. I need to add a jeep. But why a jeep if your trailer is a four axle? Do you have to spread the weight that much? CAW
