My next project will be the American 9460 truck crane.

In the 900 series American has produced a number of different types of truck cranes.
The more common ones are the 9510, 9520 and 9530.

But I haven’t been able to find enough information about these models, even though there are/were quite a few around. A good manual would be great. The 9510, 9520 and 9530 have a differently designed upper, probably to reduce overall height.

I believe that the 9460 and 9490 use the same upper as the 900 series crawler cranes. There are lots of manuals around for the 900 series crawler cranes and I found a few good ones.
But I don’t think many 9460 truck cranes were built.

My question is if anybody has information, like machinery plans, drawings, dimensions, etc. about the 900 series truck cranes and if anybody knows of the existence of one in the Northeast. I live in NYS.

Thanks a lot!

Kerst

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!

I realize that is has been already 2 years since I started this thread!
About a year ago I started with the frame and the cab and with a few interruptions the rear axles are basically ready.
