You would have to come to Europe if you want to.
This is the 5110 triple from Eurodemolition.
The 5110 on the lowloader is being rebuilt as HRD.
I think Remko knows even more about this machine.

I'm pretty sure the second 5110B in those pics is the machine being built up as Eurodemolition's Caterpillar 5110B 90TUHD. There are some great pictures and information over on the Bouwmachine Forum....

At the picture with the Cat 5110B triple you can see how the other Cat 5110B is being transported to Rusch to become the 90m TUHD. The transportphoto from Geert-yke shows the 5110B being transported to STC to become the first Cat 5110B Triple.
Rusch is now making another 5110B triple and the 90m TUHD, and also a 75m E-HRD. Read the HRD website for the latest news.

Euro Demolition HRD machine-list:
Cat 5110B 90mtr. TUHD
Cat 5110B Triple
Cat 5110B Triple
Cat 5110B or PC1250-8 carrier for the new 75mtr E-HRD
New Etec 888 HRD (old Etec 888 HRD is sold)
Etec 333 sort swing HRD
Cat 345C UHD
Hitachi ZX870LCH E-HRD
Hitachi ZX67OLCH THRD

Thanks for clearing that up Remco. I was just curious about the terminology used in Demolition machines, this is my current understanding of it....

UHD - Ultra High Demolition
TUHD - Telescopic Ultra High Demolition
HRD - High Reach Demolition
E-HRD - Extendable High Reach Demolition.
Triple - Triple member machine.

I may not have these correct and would like to be corrected if so. However, If I am correct, that begs the question, whats the difference between and Extendable HRD and a Telescopic HRD machine?

I was alos pretty sure that the 5110's weren't made in large numbers so it must be pretty hard to come by machines in good condition these days. I hope that the planned 75mtr E-HRD also uses a 5110 base as they are great looking machines.

Thanks,
Rowan.

I forgot one: the ZX670LCH THRD

HRD - High Reach Demolition (official name for this special product TYPE)

UHD - Ultra High Demolition ,is the name used by Caterpillar for it's High Reach Demolition machines, similar like Super Long Front, is used by Hitachi.
Both names are not briliant as they also use these names for machines with 17m boom, what is Ulta High about that, or is this Super long; No...!!!
Some also use the term Long-Front for what is a High Reach Demolition machine.
What is a front....??? So, also not briliant, if one doesn't know much about excavators.

I always say:
A long reach is for digging deep, a high reach is for reaching high. Everyone can understand that, even my little one.
-Long Reach
-High Reach
It can be sooooo simple, if everyone used the same...!!!

TUHD - Telescopic Ultra High Demolition (Cat product - name is launched by Rusch)
THRD - Telescopic High Reach Demolition (general use)
E-HRD - Extreme High Reach Demolition (50m and above)
Triple - special Triple boom machine (mainly used for heavy duty Demolition but it is also as HD longreach by two companies -> see http://www.vantunen.org they now have 10 machine with triple booms, the other company with triple machines is: Abeko BV.)

These triple machines can be seen in large numbers in Japan for a long time.
Now finally we will see it in Europe as well.

Thanks for clearing up the terminology, I didn't take into account the manufacturer's different takes on machines, I assumed it was a universal code.

Applause On your efforts to keep us informed in the ever growing world of demolition machines. I check your website often and will continue to do so. Please let us here at DHS know how your visit to Rusch goes.

Rowan.
