I didnt see it posted before and had heard about it on MCW but here's the DHS pic of the thing if anyone was interested. Seeing Ax Men is making me pull out all my unfinished forestry stuff as well....LOL. Time to finish off another Highwalker chassis......

So whos machine is, or was that? Its not a Valmet, John Deere (Timberjack), Madill, or Tigercat. Or is it something Volvo came up with on their own? Never heard of of it before.
Would be awesome to have a tracked feller buncher in my logging display. To bad its not a leveler

Some info I got off the net-
Volvo CE has acquired certain assets of Canadian forestry machinery manufacturer Technologies Direct. The assets include some current machinery and all intellectual property rights owned by Technologies Direct. The transaction covers the rights to dedicated tracked machines for the forestry industry – primarily, feller-bunchers and processors/harvesters.

...and a small article about them.

Thanks for the info Dirtboy. I found a little bit about the machine also. Seems like a stout, tough and reliable machine. Might have to get one for the display. Although I would really like to have a Valmet 445EXL with a Quadco Hotsaw. Hint, Hint, Chuck!! The 445 with the 385 processor head is awesome, but a feller buncher would KICK BUTT!

Ever since chuck released the komatsu forest models, I have been patiently waiting for more. I would love to see the 475FXL more than anything. Komatsu forest is also working very hard to market the brand new 450FXL, this also would make an awesome model. The 445EXL is currently my favorite non-custom forestry model for sure.
But volvo is hoping to throw there feller buncher into the mix now with a hotsaw! It will be interesting to see how the machine stacks up against the 445EXL proccessor.

I would like to see a scale model of a Hydro Ax 511 EX with a brush hog attachment on front.
