Manitowoc have shown a tooling sample model of their new 31000 crane at ConExpo. The 1:50th scale sample has been made by TWH Collectibles for the ConExpo show and it is unclear if a general release model will appear.

I have updated the TWH Reviews website with pictures and details of the new Manitowoc 4100 Ringer model. Check out the TWH Reviews website in the announcements->manitowoc section.

Regards

Steven

Thanks,

Is the 31000 an older crane? Or a new crane model for a New crane?

From what i have been told, the 31000 is a similar setup to the PTC crane. I guess we will find out more tomorrow.

Guys,

The 31000 has been unveiled in the Manitowoc booth but there are no orders for it as of yet. Once the crane is actually built, the model may actually be released.

The 31000 sample model was made (one only) for this show to show the model to Manitowoc prospective customers.

If the 31000 is made, it will probably happen in 2009-2010.

Conexpo is a blast - see you there!

according to an artical posted today on Vertikal.net Manitowoc has already sold the first one to be delivered to an American company and it is to be delivered in 2010. My guess is All Crane is the first to get one.

there are some nice pics of what it will look like in the link above.

From those renders it almost looks like it has a similar cab style to the CC8800. The "knuckle boom" counterweight thing seems really interesting.

Apologies if this seems of this actual crane topic but I thought I'd stick it here because of the model theme but is there anywhere I can see pictures of the BRI EH5000 model that was to be shown?.
