As forum seems to be running ok, I will post the latest on the Mt Arthur family, now that they have been housed in their proper home. Firstly package time............a sight that is not very common! The collection is not absolutely accurate because of real equipment changes, policy / livery variations, level / degree of customisation required. However, it does set out to capture the essence of a private liveried mining fleet in that most close to me, coal. Bottom shelf is the 4100XPB loading Liebherr T282B #583 and Liebherr 996 #207 loading Cat793D #557 with CAT D11R #372 on clear up. I have put smal quality prints of some of the photos of the real machines next to the models that they represent for reference. The T282B, 996 and D11R are real machines, as is the 793, except the real 793 does not have that dump body. The real P&H is a 4100A rather than an XPB as is in the old Bayswater coal colours rather than Mt Arthur. Top shelf is the CAT 994F #622 (real machine is a 994 version), Bucyrus 49HR #107, Cat 24H grader (based on the real 688 and a later photo than the one displayed), CAT 854G #679 (based on the real one complete with rear protection) CAT D11 stock pile machine and the 2 liebherr 994 are all based on the real machines. There will be some further additions with time, there is a special Mt Arthur quiet 793 under construction, which will be yellow as per the real thing, a 789 also quiet in blue and white. Then I will need to look at service vehicles, both man and machine, but the fueler at Mt A is one heck of a custom job! Same goes for the water trucks which are mainly CAT 789s! Enjoy! KR R

Richard- We are brothers separated at birth. One took the path of dirt in blue and white and the other the lift side in red and black. The one thing that is quite clear is the level of obsession we have both obtained. Off our bloody rockers aren't we!! And the people that we owe this to is not ourselves, or our model suppliers or even the builders of this equipment, but to our wives-who put up with this level of nonsense, obsession and expense! Very very nicely done Richard. I love your posts and the level of detail and passion behind each of your machines. Thanks for sharing them with us, and for sharing your how to's to try and sang the next generation of extremely obsessed! Well done mate-cheers!

TOO FEW PHOTOS! MORE, MORE, MORE! I was going to ask about the 'under construction' 793 is in the top left of the second photo, but you filled us in at the end. Can't wait to follow that project. As for the rest of the collection: Absolutely fantastic! Simply amazing! Beautiful! If some of them are still boxed up, you might as well just send them over. My address is... - Chris

Looking at these pictures, makes me kinda wish I was your son who would want to surprise his Dad when he came home from work, with all the Mt Arther stickers pealed off and replaced with Fording ones Great job as usual Richard, looks awesome as a fleet

Absolutly Stunning. I have been watching your posts over the last few months and still cant get over just how good they look. I also really like the photos you have showing the machines in similar positions. Details like that really add just that little bit more. Lovely stuff mate Regards Andy How to search the forums

Richard, that is truly amazing. It is great to see all the models together like that. I hope to one day venture into the realm of customisation, but for now I will stick with repainting and adding custom made accessories!

Thanks for the comments................... I will pick up on a few. Firstly Bob, you a reminded me in a very timely fashion, as my GF keeps saying she wants to get married, why I am not! Obsession and attention to detail are very important as is the careful and considered issues surrounding money. Namely in the fact that it is not wasted on shoes, cut flowers, clothes etc. This is a precise and rationale pastime that requires my undivided attention!!!!!!!!!!!! Tom, patience! The new cabinet for the Fording and BE is being strengthened at present, as soon as it is done these will come out. And, don't you have Cat 994 in blue and white?????? Paul, I am getting a little worried that your sliding rapidly down the slippery slope..............not only is it repaints but one of the latest was also going very towards.....how can I put this......red and black!! I have checked my official Mt Arthur paint sample today against my mixed blue and I am very impressed with how close I got to it! To avoid too many pics in one post, I will do another with some detail pics. Enjoy!!! After all that is what this is all about! KR R
