So for the the last couple of weeks I have been back doing crane rental work. I was told that Imperial Crane Service was bringing there 550 ton down. We were suppose to tail the wind generators for the 550 ton. Instead Cattani Cranes(who I work for) brought there LTM 1200 down, so I went to check if the crane had been assembled yet, and they had it in the job site getting ready for the heavy lift attachment, and jib. I have pics of those just not on my computer yet. I will be going back and getting some up close photos of this rig later today. Enjoy!

I stand corrected. I live on the border of district 5 and district 8 in Geneseo, Il. So not far for me. The guys that work in Ladd, IL for Cattani are down here more than they are in 5, and they drive it all the time.

Its Glen Melvin is the guy who is running the rig. I was suppose to come up there with our 150 ton and tail for them, but we got busy at the local nuke plant. So they brought out the 200 ton Liebherr from our Ladd shop to cover for us. I talked with the oiler and he said that this rig is brand new, and this is the third job it has ever been on. This is the first time it has had the luffer and heavy lift attachment on the rig. New pics fully dressed shortly!!!!!

what I was told by the crew with Armstrong's 7550 is when the luffer is angled all the way down and the full 275ft is on it this way they still have the leverage to move it

Sweet set of pics man!

Just a question...
Why is there a slight kink in the heavy lift boom? (Luffer?)
