Steve, The crane was built in former East Germany by VEB Schwermaschinenbau Kirow and was capable of lifting 7 tonnes at 2 metres: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autodrehkran_70I hope it helps. Guy

Steve Difficult to state definitively as I have never seen such a crane truck. You could well be right, as the truck driving wheel is normally located on the left side of the cab facing forward, with right seat turned backwards to operate the crane. There is not much room left to house any crane (hydraulic?) controls, except for both cabinets which are located at the back of the cab (see "Commons: TAKRAF ADK 70" link at the bottom of the Wikipedia article). Nice models Guy. Exkavate3140 and Quinella - don't infect other posts with your abuse. This kind of rubbish drives people away from forums. You might enjoy it, but I don't want to read it - I just want to talk models and modelmaking.
