On Friday 17th April ALE installed a bridge using SPMT's for Jaguar-Land Rover's new distribution facility at their Solihull factory, unfortunately they were having trouble getting the bridge aligned in the end so i did not stay to see it fully in place. Here are some pics and a video from the night! ALE SPMT Video (Sorry the sound is not very good!) Enjoy! Sweet photos Sam! I remember seeing the SPMT's in action a few years ago lifting a bridge section into place. Quite amazing to see them working.

Back again, Ill do this post in three parts. I managed to catch a bridge replacement scheme last weekend where they were demolishing an old railway bridge on the Saturday night and then installing the new one on Sunday night using one of Ainscough's LTM1500's. However on the Sunday afternoon the job got cancelled due to one of the bridge side walls becoming unstable during demolition so the crane was sent away. Then I drove past the site this weekend just to see if there was any progress and the road was closed again to install the bridge using Ainscough's LTM1750 Ainscough LTM1750 by samkelly706, on Flickr Ainscough LTM1750 by samkelly706, on Flickr Ainscough LTM1750 by samkelly706, on Flickr Ainscough LTM1750 by samkelly706, on Flickr Ainscough LTM1750 by samkelly706, on Flickr Ainscough LTM1750 by samkelly706, on Flickr Ainscough LTM1750 by samkelly706, on Flickr Ainscough LTM1750 by samkelly706, on Flickr

And finally, i went back this morning and they had reopened the road to pedestrians so i was able to get really good access when they were de-rigging! Thanks Jack! It was impressive getting the crane and ballast into the site, it was in the middle of a small village surrounded by country lanes!

I've been very busy over the last few weeks due to work and have only just had chance to sort through the last few weeks photo's. But i have finally found time so here you are! Ill start three weeks ago when i managed to just about catch Baldwins LTM1500 De-rigging after lifting steel bridge beams Baldwins LTM1500 by samkelly706, on Flickr Baldwins LTM1500 by samkelly706, on Flickr Baldwins LTM1500 by samkelly706, on Flickr Baldwins LTM1500 by samkelly706, on Flickr Unfortunately it was rigged in a cutting in the centre of a dual carriageway so the pictures were limited.

Then last weekend while I was in work i could see a quite sizable luffing jib from the window and it turned out to be one of Ainscough's LTM1500's. There are some advantages to working on Saturdays!
