Henry69 it is due to the Factories Price at which they want the model to be sold at. Really Stinks. Jake "Building the future!"

I ordered one of these from DHS a few weeks ago at the original price and received confirmation of my order via e-mail. I subsequently received a letter from DHS advising me that the price had increased by $50.00. I looked for a disclaimer on the DHS web site and on my order confirmation regarding prices being subject to change but could not readily find one. They did give me the option of cancelling my order, but I wonder whether they should honor orders made at the original price. Any opinions on the matter or direction to a disclaimer, which would not be unreasonable, would be appreciated.

groad, The following is posted under "Ordering Information" on the DHS Homepage: Thank you for your interest in our models! In this web site, we have listed the models we offer by manufacturer and stock number. While all models were in stock when this web site was updated, each is subject to prior sale, price change, model change and discontinuation without notice. We also offer many hand-built models from smaller companies. These are very difficult to keep in stock. We will do our best to fill your order in a timely fashion and will inform you if we cannot! You notice the statement does address price changes. I would not expect any establishment to absorb a $50.00 increase on a $75.00 item. The establishment would not be in business long. Randy M. Randy,
Thank you for the information. I had looked in that section but I must have not been sufficiently focused and missed it. I agree with your statement that a company could not remain in business absorbing losses of this magnitude on a regular basis. It does require prudence in posting tentative prices; however, they covered themselves with a reasonable disclaimer. In any case, I kept my order with DHS; they are a good organization.
