JasonMasco, They were a mix of plastic structual shapes, some brass, and parts that I needed a lot of, a master was made, the a mold was made from that. Then I cast all I needed with resin. The tires on the 3900T are from a kit, but all the hubs were scratch built.

Beautiful work like the short heavy lift boom and you definitely have weathering down to a Tee !

Who are you, and where did you come from? The work that you've posted recently is unbelievable. I don't build construction models, but I do some airplanes and ships, and I can really appreciate your mastery of the art. I would particularly like to compliment you on your weathering. I don't think I've seen it done so well. All to often modelers overdo it or don't really understand what they are trying to achieve. This includes many examples I've seen in FINE SCALE MODLER magazine, but you really have it right.

Boy, no kidding! Cool

...and if any of the newer readers are interested in weathering, I would strongly suggest browsing through some of his old posts - there aren't that many. He did some work on a Ringer that was just plain incredible. Applause Applause
